Restaurant Mott 32

The flagship restaurant of the international Cantonese dining group occupies a former underground vault of Standard Chartered Bank on Des Voeux Road, transformed into a highly cinematic space by architect Joyce Wang. The restaurant takes its name from 32 Mott Street in New York, where one of the first Chinese immigrant goods stores opened in the 1800s. Combining a romantic sensibility with a distinctly vibrant, lived-in atmosphere, the Hong Kong original of Mott 32 has, for more than a decade, retained its status as one of the city’s most important gastronomic landmarks. It is a destination in its own right, sought out for its globally celebrated Peking duck, smoked over applewood chips, and for the chance to secure a table in the restaurant’s one-of-a-kind «Mandarin booth.»
